"I am" is not a complex sentence. A complex sentence contains an independent clause, and a dependent clause. "I am" consists of only an independent clause, which makes it a simple sentence.
ReplyDeleteIt's a short sentence, but, technically, a shorter sentence is "Be." (Imperative, with the subject "you" understood, as in most imperative sentences.)
